# Delivery and collection

You can collect the car from us, which costs nothing, or we can bring it to you and take it back at the end. Delivery is charged by distance, and we quote it with the hire so you can see both figures before you decide.

## Two ways to get the car

### Collect it from us

No charge. We go through the car with you, check your licence and ID, and you drive away. Worth doing if you can: you see the car and ask about it face to face.

### We bring it to you

Charged by distance. We come to you, do the same checks at your door, and collect it again at the end of the hire. The sensible option if the reason you need a car is that you have not got one.

**We have not published a delivery rate yet.** It is charged by distance from us, and we would rather give you the actual figure for your address with the quote than advertise a price per mile you then have to do sums with. Tell us where you are when you enquire and the delivery cost comes back with everything else.

## How far we come

We are based in Shrewsbury and deliver around it. Whether your address is workable is a question of distance and what is on that day rather than a line on a map, so ask. The answer is quick and it is either yes with a price or a straight no.

If you are far enough away that delivery stops making sense, we will say so instead of quoting you something silly. A local hire company near you will serve you better than we can at that distance, and that is a fine outcome.

## When delivery is worth paying for

Mostly it comes down to one thing: whether you can get to us. If your car has gone and you have no easy way of reaching a hire counter, delivery is not a luxury, it is the only version of this that works, and on a hire of several weeks it is a small part of the total rather than the daily add-on it feels like on a weekend rental.

If you can collect, collect. We will not talk you into paying for something you do not need.
